September 11, 2001 was a tragic day, not only in the lives of the American people that were killed or are misssing, but for all people in countries that had loved ones that died or are missing in this cowardly attack. My heart goes out to each and everyone of them
Americans are strong and they will not let these terrorists win. They are picking up the pieces and trying to move on as best they can.
There are all kinds of poems and such that I could put in this page that others have written, but I prefer to focus on some of the good things that have taken place over the past couple of months.
Daniel Rodriguez the New York City Policeman with the beautiful voice and his rendition of God Bless America and The Star Spangled Banner and who now has a promising career in Opera and will soon have a CD released. (see photo below)
All the wonderful things that youngsters all over the contry have done to raise money and to show support for their country.
The people that have given up so much of their time and that have been willing to be separated from their families to continue to work to clean up The World Trade Center site, and the individuals that have brought their rescue dogs from all over to help in the search for survivors.
Most of all a very big thank you to New Zealand for what they are doing in giving some of the New York Emergency workers a free three weeks vacation in their beautiful country. I just received word today (January 4, 2002) that the first families have just arrived in New Zealand. Thank you.
