If I Knew

If I knew it would be the last time
That I'd see you fall asleep.
I would tuck you in more tightly
and pray the Lord, your soul to keep.

If I knew it would be the last
time that I see you walk out the door,
I would give you a hug and a kiss
And call you back for more.
If I knew it would be the last time I'd
hear your voice lifted up in praise,
I would viedo tape each action and word,
So I could play them back day after day
If I knew it would be the last time, I could
spare an extra minute or two to stop
and say "I love you," instead of assuming you would know I do.

If I knew it would be the last time I would
be there to share your day, well I'm sure
you'll have so many more, so I can let
Just this one slip away.
For surely there's always tomorrow
to make up for an oversight,
and we always get a second chance
To make everything right.
There will always be another day
to say our "I love you's,"
And certainly there's another
chance to say our "Anything I can do?"
But just in case I might be
wrong, and today is all I get,
I'd like to say how much I love
You and I hope we never forget.
Tomorrow is not promised to
anyone, young or old alike,
And today may be the last chance
you get to hold your loved one tight.
So if you're waiting for tomorrow,
Why not do it today?
For if tomorrow never comes,
you'll surely regret the day.
That you didn't take that extra time for
a smile, a hug, or a kiss and you were too
busy to grant someone, what turned out
To be their one last wish.
So hold your loved ones close
today, and whisper in their ear,
Tell them how much you love them
and that you'll always hold them dear.
Take time to say "I'm sorry,"
"Please forgive me,"
"Thank you," or "It's okay."
And if tomorrow never comes,
you'll have no regrets about Today.

The Day I Saw My Lady Cry
She stood there with her torch held high
To watch planes falling from the sky
As silver bullets ripped apart
With disregard for sanity
In senseless act of lunacy
She saw her children fall and die
The day I saw my lady cry.

I LIFT MY LAMP...so reads her plaque
Just miles from terrorist attack
Her open doors now violated
By pure evil orchestrated
Hounds of Hell have been released
And Good must rise to kill the Beast.
I saw her head droop, shaking "Why?"
The day my lady cried.
Her tears will bring on bitter rain
Unleashing winds of hurricane
To circle globe in whirlwind force.

The Best Things In Life Are Free
When we count our many blessings,
it isn't hard to see
that life's most valued tresures
are the tresures that are free.
For it isn't what we own or buy
that signifies our wealth.
It's the special gifts that have no price,
our family, friends and health

A Midnight Song
By the cover of the night, you sing your song to the moon.
Knowing shortly that morning will be there soon.

Most people think, it's just a howl and a cry. To me it's
just beautiful music that you sing to the sky.
Loyality to your pack, is to the end and you are always willing to help one of your friends.
When night falls you go out for the kill. It's just for the food and not for the thrill.
You go out with the pack and hunt like men. Always returning by morning to your den.
You're with your family every moment of the day constanly protecting your pups from the prey.
So next time you howl, sing very loud Your a great family man and should be proud.
We all should be like you, giving our family so much love. So keep on singing your song, to the stars above.

The following is written by my friend "Tired Warrior" aka: Joseph Rich . Merlin's picture may be seen on the pages of Ming and Pal Page 3
Buzz was with me for about 17 years, a little mongrel mutt. No, that's not right for he is still with me and will be always.
I send this along to you to share feelings that two leggeds can have for the four legged friends. We are all related you know, the two leggeds, four leggeds, feathered, finned; as with the elements, trees and all things.
We are all related.
As each snow flake falls, floating and drifting through the air, it is individual, but it soon lands among all the other flakes to become one. And then will come the time of thawing and the waters will flow into the creeks and rivers and finally to the oceans. We are all one as the snow flakes become one.
This is not appropriate for the happy web site, but it is feelings that Merlin and I share and want to share with you. Walk softly and trot gently upon the Earth, she is our Mother.
This was given to me by my husband. I treasure it with all my heart
I Asked God
I asked God for a flower, he gave me a bouquet I asked God for a minute, he gave me a day
I asked God for true love, he gave me that too
I asked God for an angel and he gave me you.

Rainbows Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.  There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.  There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember in our dreams of days and times gone by.  The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eagar body quivers.  Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together...

Every once in a while, someone contacts you
while you are online and you hit it off, right from the start
This person becomes your best friend.
and then, for one reason or another, with
a click of a button, they are gone, and you never hear from them again. This person
is truly missed, more than they will ever know.

The following two items are from my good friend Tired Warrior. I hope you will enjoy them as much as I have. Thank you Joseph.
Walk Softly
Walk softly upon the Earth, for it's the only one we have
It won't be ours forever cause we are killing it.

Beneath our heavy feet are life and spirit and all the relatives of our being. There is spirit in all things and if we pause we can feel it and know.
As we step gingerly across the surface of the Earth, we should know and be aware that where we step, on each blade of grass, upon each pebble and upon each tiny crawling creature, there is life.
Not only life upon and within and composing the Earth, but spirit, as there is spirit in all things, animate and inanimate alike. There is spirit in a stone, a drop of water, a flake of snow, a leaf on a limb and a leaf fallen to the ground. There is spirit in the wind that blows and the sound of a singing bird. There is spirit in the rays of the sun and the darkness of night. Spirit in the waves of the ocean and the mountains so high.
And it is all of the same spirit. And as it is all the same spirit then it is reasonable to know that it is us, all of us and we are all related. We are the same with the four legged realtives, the same with the crawling insects, the solid stone, the wise tree, the winged birds and the chattering squirrel, we are all as one and thus related.
And as we love the big-eyed bambi deer and the cuddly teddy bear, and as we love the soft bunny and the great bald eagle...so should we love the slimy creepy snake and the night creatures of bats and owls.

So should we love the scorpion and the turtle, the slug and the butterfly.
And so should we love all two leggeds, our relatives as well. To discriminate because a two legged is a different color or follows a different religious path is not walking softly upon our Earth. To kill without need of any living thing, to destroy stones or woodlands, to pollute the Earth, to curse one and not another, all these things are not walking softly upon the Earth.
Walk softly all of us, walk softly upon our Earth.
It Is My Way
When I Pray
It is my way when I pray
To offer thanks and to say
Thanks for all I receive each day
It is not my way to beg when I pray
I ask not for health or wealth nor else but say
Thanks for all throughout the day
It is my way
And mornings light nature's beauty I see
The rooster's crow did awaken me
And because I know that it starts a new day
For these simple things it's thanks I pray
It is my way

For the birds that sing in the trees up high
For the picturesque clouds drifing by
The flowers that bloom on a sunny day
To give thanks in prayer, that is my way
For each flake of snow that falls all white
For the twinkle of each bright star at night
For the cricket's chatter and the donkey's bray
Thanks for it all is what I pray
It is my way
When darkness comes and I've had my day
For that I give thanks when I pause to pray
It is my way
For all of my hurts, for all that was pain
I accept what will be and will accept again
I beg for naught nor for life but allow to die
If it's time to die if this is the day
hanks for the life that's been is what I pray
That is my way

What You Are To Me
Have you ever felt like you knew someone a long, long time ago?
Another place, another time, a friendship of the souls?
Two people who share a bond for reasons neither know,
A feeling that they were friends, a long, time ago?
Did they stumble onto each other by pure circumstance,
Or was it fate and destiny that played a certain hand?.
Two souls interwined, they are worlds apart,
But the soul, it knows no difference, in matters of the heart.
Somehow they are drawn together, fate has brought them back,
Each living worlds apart, they journey separate paths.
When this life is over, and a new life begins,
Their souls will find ech other, two souls that we call friends.

What You Are To Me
I am a rose, you are my thorns,
Clutching to me, protecting me.
I am the sun, you are my rays,
helping me to shine and to be all that I can.
I am a lake, you are my water,
filling me with ideas, dreams and hopes for the future.
I am a tree, you are my leaves,
sharing who and what I am
and becoming an important part of my life
I am a heart, you are my beat,
beating rhythmically to my happiness,
my fear, my sadness, my excitement.
I am me and you are with me,
to share all that I am,
to share life, love, and happiness.
Always.

A Gift Of Love
My gift to you is my love
Given from deep within my heart
It is the best I have to offer
And its yours until this earth we depart

You have captured a part of me
A part so fragile that I am in fear
For it is my heart I have lost
To you my love, the one I hold most dear
I chose to love you now
With all that I have and all that I am
And I pray that God follows us
To guide our steps as we cross this land
For it is with His blessings
We will live most at peace with each other. For He is the reason after all
We found one another....I Love You !

(From My Son on my Birthday)
My mom always told me,
"You can do it"

As a child, those words
gave me a good feeling inside
Because they told me that I was Loved.
That I was cared for.
And that someone believed in me.
And even now, when life gets crazy
and I find myself overwhelmed.
I remember the sound of those words.
"You can do it".
I remember my Mom
and I feel really thankful
to have her in my life.

It's always meant so much
to have your encouragement
and your love.

Happy Birthday
Keith
